Volunteer

Volunteers have always played a significant role within Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV). Many of our volunteers have personal experience of road trauma. They know first hand what our clients may be experiencing in the days, months and years after a road collision. Our volunteers are carefully selected and trained in the following roles:

  • Peer to Peer support
    • links trained Client Support Volunteers with interested clients to provide support and a listening ear
  • Volunteer speakers
    • share their accounts of road trauma, and the effects of road trauma on their lives to schools and community groups
  • Our support groups are co-facilitated by volunteers
  • Fundraising activities
    • organising local community fundraising events
    • opening doors to Corporate sponsors
  • General office administration support
