Board members

 Sue Kapourelakos – Chairperson

 
Sue joined the Board in February 2011. She has more than 15 years experience in senior leadership and management roles including in the insurance sector, with a specialist level of experience within personal injury insurance organisations.  She has a keen interest in leadership development, continuous improvement and providing leaders with the push they need to visualise and reach their next horizon. 
Sue is an experienced coach with experience in coaching executives, senior leaders, managers and teams within private and government organisations.  Sue is often called upon to “coach for performance” facilitating higher achievements and maximising the human capital within organisations. 

 

Ernestine Rozario - Deputy Chairperson

BEc (Accounting), Grad Dip Bus Information Systems

 Ernestine joined the Board in October 2011 bringing over 25 years experience, as a dynamic and professional leader in risk management and assurance. 
Her experience includes public practice, telecommunications and manufacturing across multinational corporations in Australia and Asia Pacific. Most recently, Ernestine worked in the automotive industry where she had considerable insight into global initiatives undertaken in making vehicles safer for passengers and pedestrians.Ernestine is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with over nine years experience as a Board Member and Treasurer for a not-for-profit organisation providing job placement services, labour services and training to disadvantaged people in Australia and the United Kingdom.  
 

Justin Flynn - Treasurer

B Bus, FCPA, MBA, GAICD


Justin joined the RTSSV board in October 2011 as Treasurer. Justin is a senior professional with a background in manufacturing, healthcare, distribution and supply chain. He has widely diversified skills across industry and function.

Justin brings 16 years in senior finance roles and 8 years experience as an executive director serving on a number of Australian boards including a subsidiary of a UK publically listed company and across a range of industries, including education, healthcare, hospitality, automotive, building.

He is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant, Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business.

 

Wendy Lundgaard - Secretary

MHRM, BBus, Diploma Company Directorship (AICD), FAIM

 
Wendy joined the Board in February 2011, continuing her long-standing support of community organisations.
 
She has an accomplished career spanning more than two decades in enterprise leadership and senior human resources practice.  Currently she works in consulting and training practices which encompass organisational development, strategic and business planning, human resources planning and policy and operations.
 
Previously she worked in senior and executive roles in line-management and in-house advisor/practitioner within the public sector.

Over the past three decades Wendy has served her community in various roles including Director and Chair of a non-profit Board supporting people with quadriplegia and in Committees of Management for rural youth, disadvantaged youth, International Youth Year and a number of child care facilities in Victoria and Queensland. 

 

Jenny Reece

Grad. Cert Public Relations


Jenny has nearly 20 years experience in the non-profit sector, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Cystic Fibrosis Victoria.
 
Previously Jenny was the Public Relations and Fundraising Manager at Southern Cross Care, Community Relations Manager with Berry Street where she managed their public relations and fundraising, and Talking Newspaper Coordinator at Vision Australia overseeing their state-wide service for print handicapped people. Prior to entering the non-profit sector Jenny worked a Director’s Assistant in live television at Channel 7.
 
Jenny is tertiary qualified in public relations and has been a member of the Fundraising Institute Australia for more than 20 years.

 

Dr Jan Garrard

BSc(Hon), Dip Ed, PhD


Jan joined the Board in December 2010.  She is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health and Social Development at Deakin University, and a Research and Evaluation Consultant specialising in Active Transport (including walking, cycling and public transport use). 
 
She brings to the Board expertise in health promotion and health education, and is particularly interested in improving the safety of vulnerable road users (pedestrians and cyclists).

 

 

Kim White

 
Kim White is the Guiding Principal of Platinum Black Consulting which specialises in consulting to the financial services sector. 
 
Prior to setting up Platinum Black Consulting in 2005, Kim spent two years in General Management at CBA and three years working within the Challenger Group in Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney. During this time he performed in various roles, most prominently as the Managing Director of Garrisons Pty Ltd - a funds management and national financial planning franchise group.
 
Kim also worked with the AXA Group (formerly National Mutual) for more than ten years where he held several senior state and national leadership positions. These included four years as General Manager and Director of NMMT Ltd which administered more than $2.3 billion in several master trusts and do-it-yourself Super funds, including the ASSIRT Service Level award winning, SUMMIT Master Trust.
Immediately prior to his time with AXA, Kim spent six years with the multinational company 3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co) as State Manager, Information Systems.
 

Stephen Barnes

 

Stephen, who joined the Board of RTSSV in October 2011, has over 20 years experience in senior executive and director roles in Australia and New Zealand and has worked in a diverse range of industries. 

Stephen brings to the Board his wide business experience, particularly in the areas financial management, risk management, and governance. He also has first hand knowledge of the impact that road trauma has on people’s lives. He is a Chartered Accountant, Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Member of Chartered Secretaries Australia, and member of the Finance and Treasury Association. Stephen is also on the Boards of the Finance and Treasury Association and Edmund Rice Camps Victoria where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.
